I have 45 years experience in the Cardboard Paper Industry. Managing, People and Machines to meet Production Requirements for Shipping before deadlines. When first put into position, within the first month, I reorganized the work centers to add another machine work center to increase production and make the manufacturing process work more smoother  and more efficient. To Maximize through put from in the door to out the door, I was ordering manufacturing work in process supplies with two months of supplies on the floor. This minimizes unplanned work stoppages. I made an extra sincere repour with all the semi-drivers involved, so that work in process product would be on time to all the Manufacturing Centers; to Maximize Efficiencies at each location. To the point some of the drivers would tell me, hey OV, let me know when your retiring; I’ll be following you right after. We Would Laugh…because we loved to work. That’s an example of how much they appreciated how I smooth out the logistics side of Manufacturing. I Cannot Reference the Company due to signing a Non-Disclosure Agreement when I left to do this full time.

I have 40+ years in Distributions Centers for the Cardboard Paper Industry for Customers Like GM, Brake Parts, Hungry Howies, Kimberly Clark, Guelph Brakes, AC Delphi, United States Post Office. I was Proactive in Connecting the Customer Receiving Centers with the Carriers to Smooth out the Communication with all Parties Involved from Shipping Distribution Center to Receiving Distribution Center. I set up the Shipping Distribution Center for the USPS 19 Receiving Distribution Centers all over the United States; from Coast to Coast; so that loads were being stagged live as the Product was coming in live from the Production Plants. Cut Pulling Times in half and maximized warehouse space. If defect product was received by a Receiving Distribution Center, I would have them automatically load it up on trailer that was just unloaded and auto send defective material back to Shipping Distribution Center. The Carriers Automatically understood this due to my working relationship with all of them. The Postmaster General was so impressed with me, he called me the “King of Shipping.”

 I actually observe your current system in real time versus ask desk questions and sell university hype/latest computer gadget bs. I watch the people’s faces and how they interact throughout the whole system. If happy then I ask them why they are smiling. If frustrated then I ask them why. It’s amazing to data mine those that are actually working the job versus those who are telling them what to do. Can anybody do this? Nope. It’s not a simple cold textbook strategy. Workers are not stupid. They can see shit coming a mile away and say what they have to; just to keep moving, knowing most management people don’t give a shit.  You got to have my sincere personality to genuinely connect with people to get to the root of the matter. They have a ton of ideas but no one takes them serious, unless it makes  the “boss” look good. All temporary. Not me.
